    'Extreme danger' red weather warning stood down after torrential rain hits Malaga and Costa del Sol towns

    Aemet's highest-level adverse weather alert for heavy downpours between last night and this Sunday morning resulted in warnings being sent to mobile phones in 27 municipalities in the province overnight. The adverse weather and resulted in dozens of incidents, including the diversion of more than 20 flights and the road from Ronda to San Pedro being blocked for an hour
