Marbella council sets sights on running Cabopino port

Marbella council has asked the Junta de Andalucía's permission to take over running the marina in Cabopino, which has been without any formal management for two years since the last licence agreement expired.

Currently the previous licencee is carrying on basic maintenance work while the Junta, that owns the port, is yet to officially ask for new tenders to run it long-term. The entrance is now silted up, blocking access for larger boats.
