Spanish superstition warns not to marry on Tuesday 13th

In Spain, as in other Spanish-speaking countries, Tuesday 13th is considered a day of bad luck and misfortune. Although many Spanish children are familiar with Friday 13th, which is largely due to Hollywood and American influences, traditionally, the Spanish regard Tuesday with far greater wariness.

There is even a timeworn saying that warns - 'Don't marry, go on a journey, or leave your house on Tuesday' (en martes ni te cases, ni te embarques, ni de tu casa te apartes).
