Manilva resident crowned world grappling champion

Yolanda González was crowned world champion in at the World Grappling Championships held in Baku (Azerbaijan) last weekend.

She came first in the grappling GI modality (while wearing a jacket) and runner-up in the veteran category.

Grappling, a martial art, is the act of gripping or seizing the opponent, as in wrestling.
