Tonight, 19 January at 8pm, CAC Málaga is inaugurating an exhibition by Stephan Balkenhol.

The exhibit consists of around thrity sculptures from the German artist's collection, representing his most significant work in recent years.
Balkenhol, whose last exhibition in Spain was ten years ago, works mainly with wood to create his everyday characters.
The carvings are deliberately left rough to give texture and contrast to his works.
A strange silence accompanies his figures, a reccurring trait in each of the works.
