Malaga's Carolina Navarro wins first padel championship with new partner Eli Amatriaín

Local padel player Carolina Navarro and Eli Amatriaín of Logroño have won their first title together this season, the Calanda Challenger (held in Teruel).

Both played a good tournament, winning all their matches in just two sets. In the semifinal, they beat a new women's doubles pair who have already had great results: Estepona's Mari Carmen Villalba and Carla Mesa.

The final of this new Challenger of the World Padel Tour, against Alix Collombon and Jessica Castelló, was a tighter game (6-4, 7-6). Navarro and Amatriaín maintained their dynamic play in the first set and they ended up winning 6-4, despite fierce resistance. In the second was even harder, as Collombon and Castelló took the initiative, although the Malaga player and her partner came away with the title.
