The popular 50 Plus Expo, the lifestyle event for people over the age of 50, will be held at the IPV Palace Hotel and Spa in Fuengirola on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 November. The exhibition is well established on the coast and has been catering for those enjoying the third age since 1999.

Representatives from numerous sectors specialising in activities and services for people contemplating their retirements will be on hand to offer advice on physical and financial health, and about interests and hobbies. Health and well-being will be a key element again this year, based on the premise that exercise, a sensible diet and routine monitoring slows down the ageing process.

Eric Knowles (The Antiques Road Show) will be back to give free valuations on small items and collectibles, while jewellery and watch expert, Tom Keane, (Cash In the Attic and Antiques Road Trip) will also be offering his services free. Mike Kelly will give advice about rare coins, stamps and banknotes: at last year's event, he discovered coins worth 50,000 euros.

Because the event will be held close to the beginning of the festive season, there will also be a Christmas cookery demonstration.

The Andalusian International Artists (AIA) will again be displaying their new works at the show. The exhibition will include a variety of styles created by a group of professional and dedicated visual artists from around Europe who are all living and working in Andalucía.

The event, which is free, will begin at 2pm and continue until 7pm on both days.
