Left asks Juan Carlos to explain business deals

Left-wing political coalition, Unidos Podemos, has written to the Royal household this week asking King Emeritus, Juan Carlos, to appear before parliament to explain supposed question marks over his business dealing.

It follows high-profile publication earlier this year of tapes between a female friend of the former monarch and a former police official José Manuel Villarejo.
