The Gibraltar government announced on Wednesday that members of the UK Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) team were in Gibraltar working with colleagues and stakeholders on no- deal Brexit preparations.

They were meeting food importers, freight agents, pharmaceutical wholesalers, pharmacies and veterinary clinics. The DEFRA team is expected to leave today, Friday.

Despite the apparent shifting in the UK political background this week, Gibraltar is continuing to plan for all eventualities as it prepares to leave the EU alongside the UK, which the government says is the "logical and responsible thing to do".
