Danish Olympian Jessica Petersson wins on Malaga Half Marathon debut

There were some familiar faces at the top of the leaderboard for the Malaga Half Marathon which took place last Sunday morning.

Moroccan Abdelhadi El Mouaziz came first in the men's category, for the seventh time in his career, while Danish veteran Jessica Petersson topped the women's category on her race debut.

The 39-year-old, Olympian at both London and Rio, finished with a time of 1:19:29, compared to El Mouaziz's 1:06:26.

Some 7,500 people took part in this year's event, bringing together people from all backgrounds, competing for various causes.
