Juana Rivas could face five year for holding kids

  • The mother ignored several judicial orders for the children to return to Italy

Prosecutors are seeking five years in jail for Juana Rivas, the Granada mother who hid her two children last summer to avoid handing them over to their Italian father, whom she accuses of domestic abuse.

In an initial report they said there was enough evidence for her to appear in court as she had ignored a series of judicial orders to allow the children to return to Italy.
