Swedish firm to set up new call centre and create 250 jobs in Mijas

A Swedish credit management firm is creating 250 jobs over the next two years in Mijas with its new global operations centre.

Intrum will open the call centre operation in June in offices in Parque Miramar, by the A-7 road in Las Lagunas.

The company said it aims to combine "national and international talent" at its new headquarters and it is in the process of selecting staff who speak a variety of languages, including English and Scandinavian languages.

"Intrum wants to keep investing in its position as world leader in credit management services. Malaga, with its location and innovative multinational nature is the ideal place for the international operations centre," said Anders Engdahl, CEO of Intrum.
