Coín registers highest ever number of residents on the padrón

The latest data from the National Statistics Institute (INE) has shown that Coín has a record number of inhabitants on its census (padrón), with 23,375 inhabitants on 1 January 2021, 702 more than last year - an increase of 3.1 per cent.

This increase in population also reflects an increase in the number of foreign residents registered, especially British citizens.

"We are working hard to regularise the situation of many foreigners in Coín so that we are eligible for more municipal income on a monthly and quarterly basis," said mayor Francisco Santos.
