The McArthurGlen Designer Outlet, part of the Plaza Mayor shopping complex near Malaga Airport, has announced that Prada is among the new brands signed up to open a store.
Silbon and Bimba y Lola will also be opening outlet branches on the site.
Because of the prestige of its international name, Milan-based Prada will take one of the vacant units in the central square of the shopping development which opened in February this year. There are various empty sites in this part of the mall still and as yet no opening date has been set for Prada or the other new designer brand names.
At the moment Prada only has stores in Madrid and Barcelona in Spain so its opening at McArthurGlen is a particular coup.
The MacArthurGlen Designer Outlet is British-owned and part of the group that runs sites such as Cheshire Oaks and York Designer Outlet. Malaga is its first centre in Spain.
