Study into relocation of Alhaurín de la Torre power lines to take place before summer

Residents in the Pinos de Alhaurín area of Alhaurín de la Torre have moved one step closer to getting their wish of having the area's high voltage power lines moved away from their homes.

Their efforts over the years resulted in a study in 2018 which confirmed that the electric and electromagnetic field levels were above those recommended by the World Health Organization.

As a result, the town hall this week has committed to carrying out and funding fifty per cent of a study which will, before the summer, look into alternative locations for the lines.
