With brightly-decorated streets, Ronda kicked off the daytime part of its annual fair in the town centre on Wednesday.
The town's feria is named in honour of Pedro Romero, a legendary local bullfighter from 200 years ago, and is known for period costumes in a style once painted by Francisco Goya.
Wednesday's event was in more typical flamenco dress but people return to costume on Saturday at the famous goyaesque bullfight.
