The strong growth of the Scandinavan market in the Costa del Sol has encouraged Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) to strengthen its presence at Malaga Airport.
The company presented its tax balance this week and confirmed that it will also open a new hub in London.
Data shows that SAS flew 31.5 per cent more flights to Malaga in 2017 compared to the previous year, around 105,000 passengers.
Air France is due to launch a new route between Malaga and Lyon, and triple the number of flights between Malaga and Paris-Orly.
