Sewage connection for rural properties

Rural areas of Mijas (which account for almost a quarter of the population after Mijas Pueblo, Las Lagunas and La Cala) should begin to receive more services in the next few years.

Town Planning councillor Andrés Ruiz met recently with representatives of La Alquería and Mijas La Nueva to tell them that the town hall is trying to find a solution within town planning laws so that within three years the areas which lack mains drainage at present will be connected to the sewage system.

The scheme will not only apply to these two areas, but they will be the first to be connected.
