Video of cat being thrown off a balcony causes outrage

The Guardia Civil are investigating video footage which is circulating on social media where three teenagers appear to throw a cat from the balcony of a second floor apartment in Torre del Mar.

Faced with a barrage of abuse on social media, the mother of one of the boys allegedly in the footage went to the Guardia Civil station in Torrox to ask for the bullying and harassment of her son to stop.

Local police have interviewed the older brother of one of the alleged abusers. He insisted that the cat is alive and unharmed after its 15-metre fall.
