Tourist reports Nerja hotel for illegal sunbed service
The town hall has not issued the Balcón de Europa hotel with a licence this year

A tourist from Madrid has presented a complaint against the hotel Balcón de Europa to Nerja town hall.
The tourist, Alejandro de la Fuente, has reported in writing that the hotel is providing guests with sunbeds on the La Caletilla beach, to which the hotel has direct access. However, De la Fuente argues that the hotel was not issued a licence to have sunbeds on the beach this year due to the storms over winter which took much of the beach away.
The town hall has issued such a licence in previous years.
A hotel spokesperson said that guests are taking the sunbeds from the terrace down to the beach and that the establishment is not charging guests for them.
De la Fuente says that he has not had a response from the town hall yet and that he was told the complaint would be passed to the correct department to be dealt with.
