The distinguished career of Marbella-based gynaecologist Freddy Simon (centre) was recognised at a special tribute ceremony on Saturday.
The doctor, who was born in an Amazonian hamlet in Bolivia, moved to the town in 1976 and has overseen an estimated 30,000 births. He currently is still working at QuironSalud Marbella.
