Officials from Gibraltar, led by the chief minister, held a preliminary meeting with UK and Spanish officials in Malaga on Tuesday last week, to discuss matters affecting Gibraltar and Spain and the EU post-Brexit, such as mobility and citizens' rights.
The government later described the discussions as "cordial and constructive" and said it had welcomed the very positive engagement with Spanish officials.
The talks are due to continue before the end of this month.
