Fuengirola town hall has announced that the second edition of the Feria de Comercio de Barrio (neighbourhood trade fair), an initiative designed to help revive economic activity within the town’s commercial sector, will be held from Friday 19 until Sunday 21 November. The fair, which can be visited from 10.30am until 2.30pm, and from 5pm until 9pm, will be held in Plaza de la Constitución and will have space for 17 local businesses and shops to promote their services.

The first edition of the fair was held in 2019 with the aim of promoting and supporting local commerce, while giving greater visibility to the small business of the town. Organisers are hoping that this year’s event will help those businesses that have suffered because of the pandemic.

The council is appealing to local business owners and entrepreneurs to participate in the initiative, which is free. Those wishing to register can do so until Friday 5 November by e-mailing comercio@fuengirola.org.

“The town hall aims to promote the economic activity of the establishments of the different areas of Fuengirola, especially in an age that is traditionally not good for consumption. It is a magnificent opportunity for all of us to promote the economy of Fuengirola,” councillor for Commerce Francisco Javier García Lara said.
