The verdiales take Malaga back to its roots

Twenty-six bands took part in the traditional Fiesta Mayor competition last Sunday to find out who played the best verdiales (rural Malaga folk music) in Montes, Almogía and Comares styles.

The tradition of verdiales goes back centuries and every year the Fiesta Mayor de Verdiales is celebrated in Puerto de la Torre.
