Treatment reduces limescale level in water in Vélez-Málaga by 60 per cent

According to deputy mayor of Vélez-Málaga, Marcelino Méndez-Trelles, the high level of limescale in drinking water in the town has been reduced "by 60 per cent" in some areas, by adding polyphosphates and CO2 into the treatment system.

He went on to say that councillors will be meeting water company, Aqualia, next week to discuss rolling out the treatment to other parts of the municipality.
