“The project is about telling people's stories”

The BrexitBritsAbroad project started in June 2017 and is due to run until 1 December 2018. It is an ESRC (Economic and Social Research Council) and the UK in a Changing Europe Initiative funded project looking into the impact of Brexit on Brits abroad.

Karen explains that as well as telling people's stories, the idea behind the project is to have a finger on pulse as to what is happening in EU countries where Brits are living and to provide feedback to government in the form of ongoing short reports and meetings in parliament with politicians, to give non-biased, objective views to feed into the Brexit process.
