The basketball Copa del Rey got under way at the Martín Carpena arena in Malaga last night with clashes between Barcelona and Valencia (78-82) and Real Madrid and Retabet Bilbao (93-83) raising the curtain on this year's event.
As far as the locals are concerned, however, the main event comes tonight when Unicaja take on Casademont Zaragoza in the quarter-finals from 9.30pm.
The local side, who only qualified as hosts, have a poor record in the competition, though, having won just one match since 2009 and not once at home.
The semi-finals take place on Saturday (6.30 and 9.30pm) before Sunday's final (6pm).
