The 26-year-old striker Mamadou Koné was unveiled as Malaga's new number 24 at La Rosaleda stadium on Wednesday. The Ivory Coast forward has come on loan with an option to buy from first division Leganés, as part of the deal which saw Youssef En-Nesyri move permanently in the other direction.

He said he already felt at home at his new club. "I've come to stay for many years and I'd love to play with Malaga in the first division," said the footballer.

Neither Koné nor Pacheco have been officially registered as players yet, however, due to the salary cap regulations which mean that some of the other players with contracts who the club is trying to sell must go first.

The situation has not been resolved in time for the newcomers to play against Alcorcón at La Rosaleda on Friday night.
