Around thirty security cameras are being installed on all access points to all of Alhaurín de la Torre's residential developments.
The cameras are capable of recording high-resolution images, with number plate and facial recognition technology.
This second phase of the council's scheme will cost 150,000 euros and the cameras will be in place by March.
