Accident highlights palm tree problem in San Pedro

A canopy of one of the trees on Avenida del Mediterráneo fell onto a car parked beneath it last Sunday

All of the palm trees lining the Avenida del Mediterráneo in San Pedro will be examined by town hall technicians after the canopy of one of the trees fell onto a car parked beneath on Wednesday. No one was injured.

According to deputy mayor Javier García, the tree was infected and he said that the inspections would see howfar the problem has spread.
