Rain on Wednesday forced cancellation of Halloween events and more water-logged streets

  • All throughout the Malaga province the unsettled weather disrupted plans

The unusually long period of unsettled weather continued across Malaga province and the Costa del Sol into Wednesday with an amber warning in place for a time as more rain fell

A series of events planned for Halloween, on Wednesday evening, were cancelled by their disappointed organisers with other events moving from outdoor venues indoors, such as the planned events in Estepona.

Other festivities were moved to different days. Marbella and San Pedro, along with other municipalities, moved their traditional spooky celebrations to today, Friday, after yesterday's All Saints' Day public holiday. In these two towns the events begin at 6pm.

Traditional scary events planned for Maro, near Nerja have been moved to Saturday evening.

Temperatures are expected to improve to a more seasonal norm across the Costa del Sol and inland over the weekend.
