CaixaBank enters stage right to sponsor Antonio Banderas' Soho Theatre project
The banking group will be the main financial supporter of the initiative and will fund the construction of two auditoriums

CaixaBank has become the main sponsor of Malaga-born Antonio Banderas' latest cultural project, Soho Theatre, which will be housed on the site of the former Teatro Alameda in the Soho district.
Juan Ignacio Zafra, the east Andalucía and Murcia director of the banking group met with Banderas at the site of the new theatre on 19 July to sign contracts and discuss the ongoing restoration works, which are due be completed in September 2019.
Banderas, the founder of the project, which aims to support and develop the artistic talent in Malaga, stressed CaixaBank's "enormous experience" in cultural affairs, while Zafra expressed his joy at being involved with such a "unique initiative".
The bank will fund the construction of two multifunctional auditoria of varying size.
