Planning fix needed to turn Fuengirola campsite into shopping park
Fuengirola has said that it doesn't expect building work to start before the summer

Mijas council is to debate in next month's full council session the planning application for a shopping park on the well-known Camping Fuengirola site, near the A-7 and Sohail castle. The campsite sits across the boundary of Mijas and Fuengirola and special planning measures must be adopted by both councils as a result.
The plan for shops on the 21,000- metre site will need to be presented for public consultation after approval before being passed to Fuengirola for that municipality to coordinate the split application and changes to its own planning zoning. Fuengirola has said that it doesn't expect building work to start before the summer.
