The new coach is not a miracle worker. Without any reinforcements, four injuries to first-team regulars and a squad that has lost five of the last six games, it came as little surprise that Marbella lost on their return to action after the Christmas break at home against Jumilla on Monday.

David García Cubillo's new charges weathered the storm in the first half as the visitors dominated both the play and the chances. That was until just before half time when Marbella shot themselves in the foot when Mustafá gave the ball away under no pressure in the left-back area, with Óscar Rico taking advantage and giving his side the lead.

This saw heads drop all around the Antonio Lorenzo stadium and Jumilla quickly doubled their lead just after the break when Peque nipped in ahead of keeper Wilfred to head in his side's second. Bouba bagged the third and final goal with 15 minutes to go with a fine strike from 30 yards out to cap off Marbella's heaviest home defeat this year.

The Costa del Sol side now sit in the relegation zone, a point from safety.
