Malaga CF sporting director José Luis Pérez Caminero was in court in Madrid on Monday alongside 14 others involved in a money laundering operation.

Caminero, who was arrested in June 2009 with 58,500 euros in his vehicle, has been found to be unaware that the money, which he was asked to change into larger denominations, had come from Colombian and Mexican drug trafficking operations and was being laundered through a jewellers in Madrid.

Caminero, who didn't contest the charges, agreed to pay a fine of around 20,000 euros - 17,237 of which corresponds to a fine, plus a further 2,400 agreed to substitute his prison sentence which had been reduced from four years to four months.
