Marbella recorded their second consecutive win after defeating Olímpico Pozuelo 37-49 on Sunday - the highest-scoring game that match day.

The match could not have started worse for Marbella. One of their key players, Alan Sarco, was taken to hospital following a problem with thrombosis in his leg. There was no direct substitute for him. However, after just three minutes Marbella scored their first try. Olímpico got one back just after the quarter-hour mark but failed to convert. However, the scores didn't remain level for long as the Madrid side scored again four minutes later.

Marbella's defence fell apart. Whatever tactic they attempted failed, and the score was 22-5 after half an hour. At 34 minutes one of their players was sent to the sin bin. However, with the odds against him, Lupi Rinero intercepted a stray pass and gained three points from a kick. Marbella soon regained their confidence and went on to score a try and convert it. The half ended 22-15.

Marbella came out of the dressing room re-energised and managed to gain control of the game due to the excellent attacking play of Rinero and Jorge Rodríguez. The team had a brilliant run near the end that saw three tries in ten minutes from Andu, Chique and Kike.
