Jury delivers guilty verdict in Gabriel Cruz murder trial

A nine-person jury has delivered a guilty verdict in the murder trial of Ana Julia Quezada. Quezada confessed to killing eight-year-old Gabriel Cruz in February last year in Cabo de Gata, Almeria.

The judge told the jury that it had to forget all sentiment as it deliberated on the different charges and decided to what degree the accused had intended to harm the boy.

The judge has prepared a 22-page summary document with a series of questions to help the jury in their secret discussions.
