Malaga's provincial authority has agreed to fund a project to build a parking area for up to 22 caravans and motor homes in the Axarquía village of Canillas de Albaida.
The town hall wants to increase tourism to the village, which is situated in the Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama mountain range.
Work is expected to take three months and has a budget of just over 48,000 euros.
