An MPs' committee in Madrid has agreed to a study being carried out on ways to protect the shoreline at La Carihuela beach.
The famous beach is being increasingly eroded.
The study will look at a public-private initiative, including a possible breakwater costing between 1.5 and 2.5 million euros.
