The Millenium Bar in Calahonda enjoyed a nostalgic trip back to the 1960s last weekend, when dozens of mods and rockers rode into town for a charity fundraising musical extravaganza.

Organised by local entertainer, One Wish Steve, 'Suited and Booted' presented a night of rock music and northern soul. The event was attended by more than 150 people, including members of Los Motos Locos Scooter Club who, dressed in traditional parkas and pristine tailored suits, arrived in a convoy of iconic Lambretta scooters.

The event hosted popular local artists such as Rob Sas, Debra Stacey and DJ Steve Goodey. There was also a dazzling fire dancing display performed by Harley Drops and a special appearance by former Krankies star, Susan Mohr.

Hosted by One Wish Steve - who spent more than four months organising the event - the night raised 2,200 euros for the Cudeca Cancer Hospice.

Steve Hughes, a die-hard mod at heart, told SUR in English of his delight at the outcome of the event, the fourth he has organised to date: It was an amazing night, the atmosphere was buzzing. What can I say but a massive thank you to everyone who helped make the night a success.
