José Enrique Abuín Gey, alias 'El Chicle', has been given a reviewable full life sentence, since 2015 the harshest prison term in Spanish law.

Last month a jury found Abuín guilty of the August 2016 murder of 18-year-old Diana Quer, who disappeared from a Galician seaside village after a summer fair. The case drew widespread media attention until Abuín was arrested in December 2017.
