Opium beach club closed due to lax enforcement of social distancing measures

Police had to gradually empty then close the Opium beach club in Marbella on Wednesday night because social distancing measures were not being adhered to.

Officers were initially responding to an incident at the door of the establishment where a client had refused to wear a mask.

Once inside, it became apparent that distancing measures were not being enforced despite the venue not surpassing its capacity limit, according to town hall sources.
