Processionary caterpillar removal service launched in Rincón

Rincón de la Victoria town hall has set up a special service, run by EMVIRIA, which the public can contact for the removal of processionary caterpillars.

The cycle of processionary caterpillars normally culminates in spring, when they leave their nests, come down the pine tree and walk along the ground before burying themselves in the soil and then becoming moths.

Their hairs are poisonous and can cause allergic shock in people and animals.
