Luxury resort chain Ikos to invest 150 million euros in Estepona in first venture in Spain

Luxury firm Ikos will embark on its first Spanish venture with a 150-million-euro investment in Estepona.

The group announced on Monday that it had purchased the four-star Princess Costa del Sol hotel which will be converted into an all-inclusive luxury resort. It is hoped that it will receive its first guests in 2020.

Ikos Andalusia will open its doors in 2020, with the objective of becoming the best all-inclusive resort in the country, said the group which aims to implement its Ikos Infinite Lifestyle experience. This is a concept which has recently been recognised as number one in the world in the all-inclusive category, according to TripAdvisor.

The group has revealed that Ikos Andalusia, as it will be called, will have more than 400 rooms and suites distributed across seven buildings. The complex will also have 70,000 square metres of gardens and other leisure areas which back onto the sea.

Eight restaurants will make up the resort's gastronomy offering which will be in addition to a wide variety of sports installations, a theatre, 4,000 square metres of heated swimming pools, both indoor and outdoor, and a spa, it said.

Exclusive luxury

The resort will also offer services for exclusive clients who demand more than luxury. This comes under the Ikos Deluxe package which includes private pools and concierge service.
