The recovery continues. Marbella picked up their second consecutive victory on Sunday as goals from Juanma and Mustafá sealed a 2-0 home victory over Talavera.

Outgoing president Alexander Grinberg was at the match and presented captain Añón with a commemorative shirt in recognition of his 200th match for his hometown club ahead of the game.

Facing the surprise package of the season so far, Marbella used the heavy rain to their advantage in the first half, using their pace to get in behind the visitors' defence.

Juanma opened the scoring just before the break. N'Diaye fed him the ball from the left which he controlled with his right foot, before teeing himself up on his left to curl inside the far post.

Predictably the skiddy surface led to a number of mistakes. Marbella were able to take advantage on the hour mark as Gianni in the Talavera goal misjudged the flight of a long ball as he came flying out of his goal, allowing Mustafá to round him and place his shot calmly into the back of an empty net.

With this victory, and the incoming new owners, Marbella fans can now start looking up the table again.
