A mother from Fuengirola has had custody of her child removed after the recently born baby tested positive for cocaine.
Doctors at the Costa del Sol hospital detected that the baby was suffering from neonatal abstinence syndrome, a medical condition that occurs when a foetus has been exposed to narcotic drugs during pregnancy.
The mother is under investigation for prenatal abuse.
