Resurfacing works are to be carried out in 29 streets in eight Mijas 'urbanisations'

The council has invited companies to tender for the contract to resurface roads in eight residential areas in the municipality. The project will cost 461,232 euros and the works will take about one month to complete.

The councillor for Public Works, José Carlos Martín, says this is a major project which will not only include laying new asphalt on roads which have been damaged by the volume of traffic, but also painting new horizontal signs on the roads and putting up vertical signs.

The resurfacing will be carried out in 29 streets in the eight "urbanisations", and the councillor says the town hall is constantly reviewing which others will need to be included in future plans to improve the roads in the areas.
