A special team of inspectors and police officers is being set up in Marbella to make sure that outdoor terraces don't spread out onto public pavements.
Councillors are reacting to increasing complaints that tables and chairs are set up outside areas officially reserved for restaurant, blocking the way of pedestrians in narrow streets.
One of the most problematic areas, according to locals, is the Plaza de los Naranjos at the centre of the old town.
