The Starlite Festival has already started warming up for next summer with the announcement of the first acts that will be performing at the six-week-long event.
Recently festival organisers confirmed that the event, which has become one of the most prestigious summer concert series in southern Europe, will be staying in Marbella for 2018. Since controversy last summer over opening hours and venue licences, there had been fears that the event would relocate somewhere else next summer.
The festival will run from 12 July to 25 August and the first international name of the many expected to confirm is Sting, who will perform on 19 July.
So far, well-known Spanish artists to confirm for the venue, which was once a hillside quarry in the Nagüeles area of Marbella, include Pablo Alborán, David Bisbal and Sara Baras.
