Road accidents and tailbacks mar May Day

Taxi drivers, transport companies and private motorists have urged the authorities to reach an agreement to solve the fresh wave of traffic jams hitting Marbella at the start of the tourist season.

Four accidents on the A-7 around Marbella on the last day of the May Day long weekend caused lengthy tailbacks at different points this week. In the morning, an accident in the Elviria area caused queues of seven kilometres and in the afternoon, three more bumps added to the chaos. Drivers want access roads from the A-7 to be improved.
